Jeffrey S. Hayes is the Managing Partner and Co-founder of Palo Duro Commercial Partners, a retail, real estate firm he founded along with his partner Stephen Pheigaru in 2022 with an addition of their newest Partner, Ashley Strickland in 2024. Over Jeff’s 22-year career dedicated to retail tenant representation, land brokerage, and project development, he has successfully advised, transacted, and represented both national and regional retailers throughout the Houston and south Texas market. . Key retailers include Cinemark Theatre, At Home, Whole Foods Market, Five Below, Verizon Wireless, Portillo’s Restaurant, Qdoba, and 24-Hour Fitness.

Jeff is a highly recognized and respected Houston-based Broker in the industry, being named Houston Business Journal’s “Heavy Hitter” 8 times and NewQuest Properties’ “Top Hybrid Broker” 7 times, “Top Land Broker”, and “Overall Top Producer” during his 22-year career. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Economics Management, Hayes is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas,an active member of the International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC). In his spare time, Jeff is with his wife Emily Shulz Hayes, Katherine & Samantha,and serves on the Executive Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
